Yoga

I teach two kinds of yoga – Medicine Yoga and Hatha Yoga.

Medicine Yoga is a therapeutic form of yoga that treats both body and mind.
The soft physical yoga exercises focuses on bending and stretching. It
is an effective tool to feeling better. This yoga can relieve back pain, make you sleep better, reduce your stress level and even be a great help with different kind of diseases such as hypothyroidism and certain cancer forms.

Medicine Yoga reduces the sympathetic nervous system and activates the parasympathetic which is the peace and quiet system. This makes the body function better. For instance better sleep, better intestinal function and a better perspective on things. It can also lower blood pressure and help people who is burned out.

This yoga form is great for elderly people and people who don’t consider themselves physically strong. Even though you don’t have any physical or mental problems it can overall give you a better quality of life.

Hatha Yoga is a bit more physically challenging and demands a bit more strength but still we a focus on the breathing.

The breathing is an important part of all yoga forms because it has a great impact on the whole body. If you breathe wrongly it will stress the body and it will be more difficult to relax.
With a controlled and relaxed breathing the oxygen in the blood will be able to pass in to the cells more easily, which is needed for the body being able to function optimally.
If you breathe correctly it will be much more easy for the body to rest and recover it self.

In my schedule you will find Soft Yoga and Core Yoga. Soft Yoga  will mainly have focus on Medicine Yoga with some easy going poses ( asanas ) from the Hatha Yoga. Core Yoga where the focus will be on strengthening the core ( back, hips and belly ).
Both classes will always end with a relaxing meditation.
